Dassault Aviation has reached a new peak in its order book for the fighter jet Rafale with the signature of the third tranche of 18 aircraft for Indonesia. This is part of a total of 42 aircraft ordered by the country, reinforcing the Rafale's international presence.

Promising deliveries and targets

In the first six months of the year, the French aircraft manufacturer delivered six Rafales to France. Dassault Aviation's order book currently stands at 223 combat aircraft to be delivered, a new record. These aircraft are divided into 64 for the French Air Force (AAE) and 159 for export.

Increased production rates

Éric Trappier, CEO of Dassault Aviation, has announced an increase in the Rafale production rate. By 2025, assembly should reach three aircraft per month, up from the current two. Some upstream plants are already close to this rate, with the final assembly line at Mérignac expected to reach it in one or two years.

Falcon success

For business jets FalconDassault Aviation delivered 12 aircraft in the first half, including new Falcon 6Xs. The Falcon order book includes 11 new aircraft since the start of the year, reaching a total of 83 Falcon aircraft to be delivered by June 30.

Record backlog value

The total order book, including both civil and military segments, reached a record value of 41.2 billion euros, equivalent to 10 years' business. This represents an increase on the 38.5 billion euros recorded six months ago.

Perspectives and objectives

Despite ongoing supply chain problems, Dassault Aviation is maintaining its initial targets for the year. The company expects sales to be up on 2023, close to €6 billion, with the expected delivery of 20 Rafales and 35 Falcons.
