I'm El-Adjim, a 28-year-old aeronautical engineer. Today, I invite you to discover the business-class seats from STELIA Aerospace, a leader in the premium aircraft seating industry. Based in France, this manufacturer specializes in premium seating and has won over many of the world's leading airlines with its innovative, comfortable designs. Here are five of their most remarkable creations.
CELESTE: The Ultimate Reclinable Relaxer
STELIA's CELESTE product is a business-class seat reclinable, perfect for short flights. Although it doesn't lie completely flat, it offers exceptional comfort thanks to extra padding and ergonomic lumbar support. These seats are often used on A320 family aircraft for journeys of less than five hours, offering passengers sufficient comfort without the inconvenience of a completely flat seat.
Elysium: Extended Comfort in 2-2-2 configuration
STELIA's Elysium model features a business-class seat extended in a 2-2-2 configuration. This design, while less private than other configurations, is still very comfortable, with a large on-board entertainment screen. However, the lack of direct aisle access may disappoint some passengers. This seat is used by Air France's A330 fleet for flights of up to eight hours.
OPAL: Regional Luxury
OPAL is designed for short and medium-haul regional flights. This seat features a 1-2-1 configuration, offering passengers a more private and comfortable space. It is typically used by Singapore Airlines on their 787-10 flights of less than eight hours.
Opera Narrowbody: unexpected intimacy and comfort
STELIA's Opera Narrowbody brings a level of privacy and comfort rarely seen in single-aisle aircraft. The seats are designed to offer a cocoon-like feel, even without the doors fully closed. This seat aims to introduce the advantages of long-haul flights on A321LR and XLRused for transatlantic flights and to certain parts of Asia.
Opera Widebody: The Jewel of the Range
STELIA's flagship product, the Opera Widebody, is a business-class seat which meets all the expectations of modern travelers. This seat converts into a completely flat bed, features fully closed doors for optimum privacy, and offers plenty of storage space. This model is particularly popular with Air France, which uses it on its refurbished A350 and 777 aircraft, allowing full customization to meet the brand's requirements.
