TAP welcomes Florianópolis, its eleventh Brazilian city

TAP Portugal expands its network in Brazil by adding Florianópolis to its list of destinations. A dynamic and enchanting city, Florianópolis becomes the eleventh Brazilian city served by TAP, offering new travel and discovery opportunities to passengers in search of sun, beaches and Brazilian culture.

A new chapter for TAP Air Portugal

On Tuesday September 3rd at 5.16pm local time, TAP Air Portugal marked an important milestone by landing at Florianópolis airport. This inaugural flight from Lisbon ushers in a new era for air links between Europe and southern Brazil, making TAP the only airline to regularly serve this route.

Capacity and services

With three weekly flights operated by Airbus A330-200s, TAP will now offer 807 seats a week for passengers travelling between Lisbon and Florianópolis. The aircraft used for this route, configured for passenger transport, include models bearing the registrations CS-TON, CS-TOO and CS-TOP.

TAP's Brazilian network

Brazil is a key international market for TAP Air Portugal, with 13 different routes linking Lisbon to several major Brazilian cities. In addition to new routes to Florianópolis, TAP serves destinations such as Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, and Fortaleza, among others.

Flight schedules

Here are the detailed timetables for connections between Lisbon and Florianópolis:

  • Tuesday/Thursday/SaturdayTP 109 departs Lisbon at 10:10/10:40/11:00 and arrives in Florianópolis at 5:15/17:45/18:05.
  • Tuesday/Thursday/SaturdayTP 110 departs Florianópolis at 19:35/20:15/20:40 and arrives in Lisbon at 09:50/10:30/10:55+1.

Future prospects

In November, TAP also plans to launch flights between Lisbon and Manaus, via Belem, using Airbus A321neo aircraft. In addition, Porto Alegre airport, closed for international operations, is due to reopen in December, with TAP aspiring to return to this route in 2025.
