From March 22, 2025Malaysia Airlines is to resume scheduled service between Kuala Lumpur and Paris Charles de Gaulle. The news has been greeted with enthusiasm after an absence of almost nine years, the last service having been in january 2016.

The first flights will operate four times weekly, before becoming daily from March 29, 2025. For these routes, the airline will use its modern Airbus A350-900s, ensuring optimum passenger comfort.

Malaysia Airlines expands its network

With this takeover, Malaysia Airlines will expand its network to a total of 68 destinations. Currently, London Heathrow is the airline's only scheduled destination in Europe, with 14 weekly flights. The airline also offers cargo services to Amsterdam via Doha with its Airbus A330-200Fs from MASkargo.

According to Datuk Captain Izham Ismail, Managing Director of Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG), "our expansion into Europe marks a significant milestone for Malaysia Airlines. With the arrival of additional wide-body aircraft this fourth quarter, we are ready to reintegrate Paris into our network. Although the European market is highly competitive, we see huge potential to attract key travelers, not only from Malaysia but also from neighboring regions."

By launching direct services from Kuala Lumpur to Paris, the airline affirms its flagship position and reinforces its role as a gateway to Asia and beyond, offering a world-class travel experience with the A350-900.

Other crucial destinations

Malaysia Airlines' network in Europe is mainly centered on London Heathrow, with cargo services also available to Amsterdam. The expansion to Paris aims to capture a share of the travel market for both business and tourism, offering strategic coverage in Europe.
